During the ten years of the conference, it acquired a high reputation amongst specialists in ophthalmology, who arrived at the Conference Center in the number of almost 500.

The program of the conference included live laser eye surgeries, cataract surgeries, and implantations of the phakic lens, which were transmitted into the Conference Center hall as well as worldwide by means of the Internet broadcasting. A srugery from the Focus Eye Center from Bulgaria and Dr. Konstantin Kakoulidis´ lecture from the University Hospital in Bratislava were two broadcastings from abroad.

The afternoon program was initiated by a few songs of Bára Basiková, whom the audience appreciated by standing ovations. During the day, the attendants heard numerous presentations with interesting case studies and the Dr. Stodůlka´s Internet discussion with the leading eye specialists from abroad including Roberto Bellucci (the former president of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery). In the foyer of the Center, the visitors could have tried to work with a one-of-a-kind eye surgery simulator. The simulator with two robotic heads for young Gemini ophthalmologists to practice cataract and retinal surgeries is a new phenomenom in the Czech Republic. The eye doctors at the conference showed a great interest in the practice as well as comparison between the simulator and a real surgery.

A significant part of the program was the award for the lifetime achievement of professor Milan Izák from the hands of Dr. Pavel Stodůlka, “It is our duty to use all our medicine knowledge which was passed onto us to help others. It should not be something extraordinary,“ said prof. Izák while receiving the lifetime achievement prize.
