Laser eye surgeries will free you from wearing glasses

Give your eyes the sharpest sight with a laser eye surgery of eye disorders carried out with LASIK, epi-LASIK or also the latest femto-LASIK methods. In the Czech Republic, all of these methods have been introduced by head surgeon Dr. Pavel Stodůlka, PhD and we have also had the longest experience with them. We use Allegretto lasers (eg. Wavelight eye-Q 400) with which it is possible to operate on such disorders such as nearsightedness (myopia, minus diopters) as well as farsightedness (hypermetropia, plus diopters) including cylindrical defects (astigmatism). Gemini Eye Center was the first clinic in the Czech Republic to have been equipped with an Allegretto laser as well as with a femtosecond laser. Before introducing a femtosecond LASIK laser, a sc. SBK LASIK – LASIK with a mechanic microkeratom with a thin lamella – had been in use. A femtosecond laser LASIK is safer, more precise, and friendlier than LASIK with a mechanic microkeratom.

Presbyopia (the need of wearing glasses for reading) is corrected by the presbylasik method and/or the monovision method which is carried out only on one eye. This disorder may also be corrected by a surgery using multifocal intraocular lens implants.
