Cataract surgery

Cataract is a common eye disorder in older age. The clouding of the lens prevents from creating the clear image on the retina. The only possible treatment for cataract is surgery with an artificial intraocular lens. In the Czech Republic there are more than 70 000 cataract surgeries carried out annually. Thanks to Dr. Stodulka, GEMINI Eye Clinic is known for microincision cataract surgeries and for first laser cataract surgeries in Europe with the VICTUS femtosecond platform.

Presbyopia treatment

Are you experiencing problems with seeing when reading? If yes, you might be suffering from presbyopia (the need of reading glasses).

When we reach our 40s or 50s, changes to our vision begin to make our every day activities such as reading the newspapers, menus, text messaging more difficult. It is a natural part of the process of aging. As we grow older, the natural lens loses its flexibility and ability to accomodate which helps us to focus on objects close up. This change of vision is called presbyopia.

Keratoconus treatment

Keratoconus (from Greek kerato, i.e. cornea) is the eye disorder in which the usual shape of cornea is unlike the usual round shape rather conical. The conical bulge deforms the vision. The progress of the disorder depends on the patient`s age and also the duration of it. The sooner the beginning of the disorder is, the faster the progress. Keratconus usually affects both eyes, typically asymetrically.
