One of the largest transoceanic eye conferences, regularly organized by the ASCRS (American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery), can be proud of the high participation of ophthalmology experts. The Gemini Eye Clinic chief surgeon was also present among the active participants this year.
In the spring, thousands of ophthalmologists and ophthalmologists from around the world traditionally attend the ASCRS convention. This year’s event took place in the US capital from April 22 to 26, 2022. Pavel Stodůlka from the Gemini Eye Clinic in Zlín also presented two lectures to the conference participants.
In one of his presentations, he presented a complex and rare operation for a blind patient who had two artificial corneas implanted in one blind eye during the procedure and can see again today. In the second lecture, dr. Stodůlka introduced a new innovative way of centering laser lens surgery, which he developed. This method is used by the CAPSULaser platform, developed by the Gemini Eye Clinic and a renowned company from the USA.
