Gemini Eye Clinic is one of the first ten eye clinics in the world which now use a new device for eye surgery - Stellaris PC. American manufacturer Bausch + Lomb, world wide leader in ophthalmic technology, chose the clinic in Zlin to be one of the workplaces where they supplied their first Stellaris PC devices. The decisive reason was the high professional level of the surgical team of head surgeon Pavel Stodulka, MD, Ph.D. who have repeatedly carried out unique operations using the latest technology. Stellaris PC has been improved from previous Stellaris, which was only used for cataract surgeries. Stellaris PC can now be used for vitroretinal surgery as well as for cataract surgery and compared to current instruments, it is unique thanks to its high speed and less invasive surgery. These advantages means enhanced safety for patiens and also shorter surgery time.

The Czech Gemini Eye Clinic is proud to support the Czech health care charity project in Kenya. Dr. Stodůlka said: “. We decided to support this project because of a long term effort of Mr. Barta in Africa. Within the Itibo project a hospital is being built, maintained and run in the region with a heavy lack of basic medical care for inhabitants who generally cannot afford care in paid medical facilities.

Mr. Karel Gut, the honorary president of the Czech Ice Hockey Association, sent his thanks for an operation to the head surgeon Pavel Stodůlka, MD, Ph.D.
Good morning Doctor,
Once again, my wife and I would like to thank you very much for your operation.
You told me that I should not expect a miracle because the retina in my eyes and eyes of my wife is affected by age related macular degeneration (AMD). For years we have heard from eye doctors that there is no help for our vision and the surgery can not help us. But we must both say that your surgery has made an unbelievable improvement of our vision which we call a miracle. Besides being able to see the television better, I can read on my computer without glasses. I do not need to use my current glasses at all. Before I only heard that cataracts are not operated on if age-related macular degeneration is diagnosed and it was only you who had the courage to help us.
